The Middle Child

I thought about what page I wanted to make an I came up with the idea to do a beauty/makeup page. I first want to let you know that I am most definitely not an expert on makeup or beauty whatsoever. I can only inform you about the stuff that I learned during my experience as a teen girl. Another thing I should probably say is that if I mention a specific brand I use that doesn’t mean that it is the best product out there it is just something that works for me. Basically this page will be all about anything beauty related like makeup, hair, or skin. Hope you enjoy this page!!

EYESHADOW

Like I said in the intro to this page I am not an expert or anything. Most of my eye shadows where gifts from my aunt from when she sold Avon makeup. From her I got a palate of coral color called Sandy Coral I believe, I also got a palate of purple colors and a palate of pink and cream colors. Each palate has about 4 different colors. I love the coral and purple palates but the pink one is a little hard to pull off.  I personally love shimmer browns and champagne colors. I got 2 ELF palates for Christmas and they have really pretty brown colors in them and I love experimenting with them. From youtube I learned about primers and just last week I decide to try primer and I made homemade primer from instructions on YouTube and I truly believe it made the eye shadow show up more on my eyes. Well unfortunately that is pretty much all I know about eye shadow at the moment.

HAIR

I think that I know more about hair than I do about make up because my hair gives me more problems than my skin. I have REALLY thick dirty blond hair. It is very frizzy if I don’t do anything to it so I am forced to try out different products. What I found works the best when I don’t want to apply heat to my hair is to use a combination of hairspray (No need to spend tons of money on this, I get mine from the dollar store and it works just fine) and a shine serum (slightly more expensive, I get mine from Target). When applied to my hair after I let it air dry my hair becomes tame and gets beachy waves. If I want to look polished I will straighten my hair. My hair is so thick that it takes like half an hour to straighten. I have two different straighteners, one is a wet to dry straightener which as the names says can straighten your hair when it is wet. I was so excited when I saw this and I bought it thinking that it would save me so much time but in the end I only use it when my hair is dry because when I do it when its wet I have to go over the hair like five times before it is straight and dry which took forever and seemed to fry my hair. The other straightener I have is the InStyler. The instyler is really cool because it separates my hair and straightens it with just one pass. Also just like in the commercial you only need one hand to use it so I can do other things while I straighten. Ironically just the other day I saw a commercial for the new instyler that can be used for wet hair. I was so excited when I saw that because they made it sound amazing. I had to remind myself of how I felt about my other straightener

MY MORNING ROUTINE

-          put on my contacts

-          brush my teeth

-     wet my face

-          Apply moisturizer (Aveeno Positively Radiant Daily Moisturizer)

-          Apply Maybelline Babylips in any color that I have

-          Apply black eyeliner

-          Apply black mascara

-          Sometimes apply eye shadow in a color of my choice

-          Apply Bath and Body Works Moisture Body Cream and perfume in my current favorite smell Butterfly Flower

*no I didn’t forget to put in a step for foundation and blush and things like that I just don’t use it. I don’t like the feeling of having stuff on my face and like I said before I have nice skin so I don’t really need to cover anything up.

MY NIGHT ROUTINE

*the face wash I use is not necessarily the best for you skin. I have been lucky enough to have really good skin so I don’t need a face wash that clears acne, just one that cleans my face, this is one only like 3 products that I have ever tried (I also use one for night and I have used my sisters when mine ran out)

-          Shower/get dressed for bed

o   I use garner fructose shampoo (but really it doesn't matter , I switch a lot) I just got a new body wash from bodycology with the toasted coconut scent. (I used it once and it smells so good)

-          Take off contacts

-          Remove eye makeup ( I use the neutrogena makeup wipes)

-          Brush teeth (crest with scope)

-      wash my face with Yes to Cucumbers face wash

-      apply moisturizer (Aveeno positively radiant daily moisturizer)

-          Apply Nivea Crème to my face only to the dry spots
