HAPPY MOTHERS DAY GUYS!!! I had a nice time at my grandma’s house with the rest of my mom’s side of the family. My mom’s family is for the most part, very nice. I mean, my grandma is just about the nicest most selfless person I have ever met and my aunts and uncles are nice too. They have their quirks but, doesn’t everyone? My cousins are great and fun to be around. The only problem is that , my grandma moved to the United States from Greece and despite being here for MANY years she has never spoken English very well and ever since my grandpa died a couple years ago she has been speaking less in English and more in Greek. Now this is not a problem for my mom or my aunts and uncles because they all speak Greek as well, but for my dad and my brother and sister it makes it difficult to be included in the conversation and we end up just talking amongst ourselves and our English speaking cousins. Imagine being at a party where nearly everyone else was talking in a language that you did not understand. To top it all off I think my grandma sometimes forgets that I don’t speak Greek because she talks to me in Greek all the time. It just makes the family events a little bit uncomfortable. On another unrelated topic. In the next few days I will be making adjustments to the website and adding new and exciting pages that I hope you will all love so be on the lookout for that!!
