Well I am writing again today and I am hoping to start writing regularly. Well I was on YouTube looking up videos and I came across a video of the Harry Potter cast making speeches at the premiere of Harry Potter and the Deathly Hallows Part 2. Now if you were just born yesterday or if you don’t read or watch movies, Harry Potter is a world famous book series that was made into movies and this premiere was the last of the decade of Harry Potter movies. Now I was listening to those speeches and they were so heartwarming that it made me want to cry. I absolutely love the Harry Potter books and movies and I am so sad that the series is over. Every now and then go through a Harry Potter phase in which I watch all the movies over the weekend. I even sometimes read the books again too. I have read all the books over like 6 times and now that I saw that video I really want to watch the movies. Harry Potter is an amazing book series. Ever since the Twilight became a movie series people have been comparing it to Harry Potter. This irritates me to no end!!! Now don’t get me wrong I love the Twilight books and the movies (though less than the books), there is no way to compare the series. I mean, Twilight, when you come down to it, Twilight is a romance series. I mean yes there is underlying themes of friendship and other things, the main idea is a vampire and normal persons romantic adventure. Harry Potter is so much more than a romance. It is about friendship and overcoming hardship and it brings with it the idea that there is more to life than what meets the eye. Twilight doesn’t even come close to touching that. Another thing that made me appreciate the Harry Potter series even more is that there were no romance scandals involved with the main actors and actresses of the movie. It seems like they were really a family and romance was not really an option. You can’t say the same about the Twilight movie series. There were tons of rumors about how Kristen Stewart and Robert Patterson were dating and then how they were cheating on each other. Bottom line, Harry Potter books and movies are amazing and they do not need any bad press to get people to be interested.
